New Rumble Crankbait Series

Three new premium balsa crankbaits bring captivating actions and pure fishability

BEMIDJI, Minn. (March 4, 2021) – Northland Fishing Tackle® enters the premium hardbait game with the new Rumble crankbait series, designed by none other than chief lure designer Jarmo Rapala. He knows fishing is better with balsa…

From a block of the finest balsa wood to welded, through-wire construction to the finished hand-painted and individually tank-tested bait, all Northland Rumble series baits are handmade with a unique heat compression molding process that ensures unmatched durability, and lures that run true on the troll and retrieve—as well as cast farther than the competition.

RUMBLE SHAD

First on the list is the inimitable Rumble Shad. The #5 dives 5’ to 12’; the #7 dives 8’ to 16’; and the #8 dives 14’ to 21’. All are precision constructed of balsa through the unique Heat Compression Molding (HCM) process and feature a welded through wire construction from the tie-eye to the tail. Designed to imitate shad, perch, and panfish, this midsized bait features a tight action and dramatic roll, whether cast and retrieved or trolled behind the boat.

The Rumble Shad is available in 15 custom artisan colors, from match-the-hatch patterns to vibrant eye-catching themes. The Rumble Shad also features extraordinary short shank treble hooks and an oval split-ring on the line tie.

Northland Team Pro Brian “Bro” Brosdahl comments: “The Rumble Shad has a unique tight wobble that fish rush in to eat. In testing, I did a lot of pitching and retrieving, and had everything follow and strike. There are great match-the-hatch colors and wicked colorful patterns. I personally think the Rumble Shad is going to be the hottest new walleye bait this spring. You can troll it on a flat line or lead-core. Personally, I like pitching them – a simple pitch and reel or with a few twitches thrown in. It’s definitely a big walleye bait, too. I caught some really big ‘eyes on it during testing. Ultimately, the Rumble Shad is a fantastic weapon for every angler to take to their favorite walleye hole. It casts well and you can feel the bait thumping while you’re reeling.”

RUMBLE SHINER

This shallow-diving balsa crankbait is available in three sizes with varying diving depths. The #7 dives 4’ to 6’; the #8 dives 5’ to 8’; and the #10 dives 6’ to 10’. All Rumble Shiners are formed of balsa wood through the Heat Compression Molding (HCM) process and feature a welded through wire construction from the tie-eye to the tail. The Rumble Shiner’s tight action and elongated profile bait mimics forage such as chubs and shiner minnows. It’s a great bait for casting or trolling. The Rumble Shiner is available in a multitude of colors, from match-the-hatch patterns to electrifying paint themes. The Rumble Shiner also features premium short shank treble hooks and an oval split-ring on the line tie.

Bro remarks, “The Rumble Shiner is a great lure for both pitching and trolling. It mimics so many species of forage that it’s perfect for just about every situation. Plus, you have colors and patterns that will work no matter what the fish want. It’s definitely going to be a hit this season.”

RUMBLE STICK

This open-water, deep trolling bait is available in two sizes with varying diving depths. The #4 dives 18’ to 25’ and the #5 dives 23’ to 32’. The Rumble Stick is formed of exceptional balsa through the Heat Compression Molding (HCM) process and feature a welded through wire construction from the tie-eye to the tail. Designed to imitate larger baitfish, the lure features a tight action that attracts aggressive gamefish responses. The Rumble Stick is available in a multitude of colors, from match-the-hatch patterns to vivid custom paint themes. The Rumble Stick also features premium short shank treble hooks and an oval split-ring on the line tie.

Bro remarks, “The Rumble Stick is exactly the trolling crankbait I’ve been looking for. They dive deep and their tight wobble really grabs the attention of fish. And the colors are just dynamite. I’ve had really great luck with them so far and can’t wait to get back out there!”

You’re going to want to up your game with Northland Fishing Tackle’s new custom Rumble crankbait series… fishing’s definitely better with balsa.
