MN-FISH members and sponsors, and industry leaders will be receiving an emailed invitation to attend the event in person. On March 8, remaining seats are available on a first-come, first served basis for any angler interested in attending. Go to MN-FISH.com to register.
There is no charge to attend the Summit and lunch will be provided.
Summit topics will also cover pike/muskie management issues, state fish stocking levels, forward-facing sonar and more.
MN-FISH is setting aside time for Summit attendees to share their own thoughts on issues affecting state angling.
“Our goal is to listen, and learn” said MN-FISH president, Ron Schara. ‘’For decades, state anglers didn’t have a voice in the legislature and interactions with DNR fisheries officials seldom moved the needle,’’ Schara said. ‘’Our goal at MN-FISH is to be that voice and, if necessary, be the squeaky wheel to improve fish management efforts in Minnesota.’’
During the 2023 legislative session, MN-FISH was instrumental in obtaining $98 million in state appropriations to modernize state fish hatcheries, repair public boat accesses and enhance opportunities for anglers who fish from shore.
