ScentLok Technologies and Blocker Outdoors Announce Partnership with Drury Outdoors

Three legacy brands founded on traditional values and technological innovation converge for the benefit of hunters

MUSKEGON, Mich. (January 4, 2022) – Thirty years, forty-two years, and thirty-two years; that’s the amount of time ScentLok TechnologiesBlocker Outdoors, and Drury Outdoors, respectively, have been innovating in service to hunters.

Category-defining companion brands serving the diverse apparel needs of all hunters, ScentLok and Blocker Outdoors exist to help hunters get closer to game and enjoy more rewarding hunting experiences. Based in Muskegon, Michigan, both brands have a legacy of continual innovation based on science, research, and the development of distinct and trusted products that equip and dress hunters for success in any terrain, environment, or climate.

Similarly, Missouri-based Drury Outdoors – founded by brothers Mark and Terry Drury in 1989 – has been a leading innovator in outdoor media and hunter-information exchange for over three decades. Their work is to the same end – to give hunters an advantage by sharing information and experiences that shorten learning curves, help avoid pitfalls, help maximize opportunities, and ultimately allow them to enjoy more satisfying experiences during precious outings in the field. From their very first videos to today’s cutting-edge platforms like DeerCast, Mark, Terry, and the rest of the Drury Outdoors Team have placed family values and a strict commitment to 100% Wild 100% Fair Chase at the center of everything they’ve done.

Under the new partnership, Mark Drury says the entire Drury Outdoors Team will wear ScentLok and Blocker Outdoors apparel while producing content for its extensive media portfolio, including all its TV shows, online channels, and its innovative DeerCast platform, the new hub for all things Drury Outdoors. Photo courtesy of Drury Outdoors.

“We’re extremely proud and happy to be working with Terry, Mark, Matt, Taylor and the entire Drury Outdoors Team,” says avid bowhunter, owner and CEO of the ScentLok and Blocker Outdoors brands, Pat Hylant. “No matter what business you’re in, you’re always looking for synergies, and there’s just so much our brands have in common. All the pieces are in place to make this a huge win for hunters.” Nexus Outdoors (parent company to ScentLok and Blocker Outdoors) President and archer, Aaron Ambur adds: “We pour our hearts and souls into our products and firmly believe we offer the best hunting clothing in the world, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t constantly looking for ways to improve it. Having feedback from the deep, extremely talented, and diverse Drury Outdoors Team – and a pipeline for additional communication with their passionate viewers, listeners, and followers – will allow us to do even better in delivering new technologies and apparel that create more advantages, more moments of truth, more fun, and more satisfaction. If we can do that, we know we’re helping to grow and advance our sport.”

Terry Drury says it’s important to work with companies, organizations and, ultimately, people who share the same values and work ethics. “A lot of hunters believe ScentLok and Blocker are these huge companies,” he says. “Their contributions to hunting have been huge, but the truth is they’re lean-and-mean whitetail-crazy Midwesterners with a serious commitment to helping all hunters gain advantages in fair-chase hunts, just like our Drury Outdoors Team. Of course, we like that, because that’s who we are, too.”

Mark Drury agrees. “ScentLok and Blocker invented scent-control apparel and have spent 72 combined years innovating, refining, and improving it. Our team wore Scent Blocker apparel for many years, and in the short few months we’ve come back to it – and ScentLok – it’s already helped us to harvest over 120 animals,” he says. “We couldn’t be more excited about combining forces and applying our joint expertise to help take hunting apparel to new heights. This is a long-term relationship and hunters are going to benefit.”

Attendees at this week’s Archery Trade Association Show in Louisville are invited learn more about the Drury Outdoors partnership and see all the exciting new-for-2022 apparel from ScentLok Technologies and Blocker Outdoors at booth #2443.
