Waterfowl: Heartland Goes Hard Core

Hard Core Apparel inks partnership with award-winning Heartland Waterfowl Television

MUSKEGON, MI (November 5, 2019) – It’d be challenging to assemble a more hard-core team of waterfowl hunters than Ronnie Philips, Logan Burditt, Nate Meyer, Justin Michaels, Evan Schrock, Mat Wescoat, Dakota Thurn, Everett Adkins, Eric Champlin, Alex Diecidue and Joe Palumbo. And while there may be nothing inherently different or remarkable about their passion for waterfowl hunting – after all, it’s a passion shared by thousands of duck and goose hunters across North America – what’s truly special about members of the Heartland Waterfowl TV hunting crew is their shared penchant for cinematic creativity and authentic storytelling.

“We try our very best to provide a cinematic value you don’t find in other TV shows,” says Heartland Waterfowl Owner and Executive Producer, Ronnie Philips, who is quick to pay due respect to everyone else who’s out there working hard to put quality outdoors programming on TV. “Don’t get me wrong; there are several great waterfowl hunting shows on TV. Our goal is to be unique, not necessarily different. We tell truthful and authentic stories that are relatable to the everyman waterfowl warrior,” he continues. “After all, that’s who we are, too; we’re a group of friends who all have families, regular jobs and are as passionate about waterfowl hunting as anyone else. But since we have the good fortune to be able to produce a TV show, we go above and beyond to ensure what we put on the air is not only real, but produced with a unique brand of creativity and art that captivates and inspires other waterfowl hunters.”

Entering its seventh season, Heartland Waterfowl TV has gleaned much of its “unique brand of creativity” from the very start from partner program, Heartland Bowhunter. “We’re an extension of Heartland Bowhunter and what its Executive Producers, Michael Hunsucker and Shawn Luchtel, pioneered there,” Philips says. “We share a similar vision and mission. Quality is the one guiding principle, but we execute it while chasing ducks and geese instead of big game.”

Nexus Outdoors, parent company to the Hard Core Apparel brand, shares the mission of delivering quality products and experiences to the everyman hunter, and has announced a three-year sponsorship agreement with Heartland Waterfowl TV.

“We produce multiple apparel options that hardworking waterfowl hunters can combine and rely on to perform in any hunting situation,” says Nexus Outdoors President, Aaron Ambur. “Hard Core Apparel applies top technologies, materials, performance specifications and aesthetics that result in garments offering durability, comfort, proper fit and, ultimately, unbeatable performance in the field. We share a natural synergy with the team at Heartland Waterfowl and couldn’t be happier or more excited to have them onboard as ambassadors for the Hard Core Apparel brand.”

“Not many companies truly understand what waterfowlers face or what they need in order to be successful,” says Philips. “Hard Core nailed it with its 2019 apparel lineup. We were excited the minute we saw it, felt it and inspected it. And since we started wearing it in different combinations in the field, our Hard Core Apparel has proven itself superior in every situation and season.”

The Heartland Waterfowl crew is currently busy chasing ducks and geese up and down the flyways and filming for their 2020 television season. The show airs on Sportsman Channel Tuesdays at 8:30 PM ET, Thursdays at 9:30 AM ET, and Saturdays at 3:00 AM and 2:30 PM ET. Episodes featuring Hard Core Apparel will begin airing on Sportsman Channel in the third quarter of 2020.
