DAIWA makes Chicago “MY KIND OF TOWN” for anglers this weekend.

CHICAGO, IL (January 23, 2025) – Showcasing its rods, reels, braided line, lures, and accessories to anglers in the greater Midwest area, DAIWA USA is again on board as a major sponsor at this weekend’s Chicagoland Fishing Show being held at the Schaumburg Convention Center.

Along with supporting the many area tackle shops exhibiting at the show, DAIWA will also be participating at the show’s special events, including tackle giveaways at musky focused efforts on Friday, and then on Sunday where DAIWA fishing rod and reel combos will be given to the first 100 kids under 11 entering the show with an adult.

“This is our sixth consecutive year of supporting the Chicagoland Fishing Show, and we look forward to talking with anglers about all the various fishing opportunities on Midwest lakes and rivers, along with the Great Lakes,” said DAIWA Marketing Manager, Marc Mills. “Will have both company staff and area based reps along with pro staffers helping out in the DAIWA booth.”

Providing the opportunity for many anglers to see the new tackle DAIWA introduced at the 2024 ICAST show that has been arriving at tackle shops throughout the fall and winter, the booth will showcase the now available TD Eye walleye and KAGE bass rods, new TATULA SV TW 150 and 200 size baitcasting reels being introduced at the show, as well as DAIWA’s new premium built PROREX Stein musky rods.

DAIWA will again treat anglers to special value added items, including J-Braid and Ever Green lures, with the purchase of DAIWA tackle from participating dealers. The Chicagoland event also kicks off DAIWA’s special AFTCO performance fishing shirt promotion with the purchase of select TATULA rods and reels.

As a special bonus for show attendees, noted B.A.S.S. Elite angler Brandon Palaniuk will be in the DAIWA booth on Friday and Saturday to talk fishing techniques and tackle. Palaniuk will also be presenting seminars on Friday and at Saturday on the show’s ‘Hog Trough’ stage. Check out the Chicagoland website for the complete seminar schedule.
