WESTWOOD, Mass. (May 8, 2020) – Something has proven to be even more infectious than this insidious novel coronavirus over the past few weeks: the American spirit. Indeed, Americans are stepping up to protect the most vulnerable populations across the country by heeding stay-at-home orders and embracing social-distancing guidelines to slow the spread of COVID-19. And at the corporate level, companies like Honeywell – a global technology leader and parent company to the popular Howard Leight Shooting Sports brand – are responding nimbly with a variety of creative initiatives to protect against the threat while helping to prop up our stressed economy.
Honeywell Expands Capacity to Deliver 20 Million N95 Masks per Month
Honeywell has recently announced added manufacturing capabilities in Phoenix to produce N95 face masks in support of the U.S. government’s response to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). The company’s Phoenix expansion, coupled with additional production in Smithfield, Rhode Island announced on March 22, will allow Honeywell to create approximately 1,000 new jobs while producing more than 20 million N95 disposable masks monthly to combat COVID-19 in the U.S. while adding to the National Stockpile. Honeywell is also increasing its manufacturing and distribution of other important and needed personal protective equipment (PPE) worldwide.
